Logistics Coordinator 

Full-Time, 08:00-16:00, Monday – Friday

40 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY

The role will involve organising the national and international distribution of goods from our site in Lambeg and to co-ordinate all inward bound deliveries.  The successful candidate will liaise with suppliers of raw materials, distribution companies, customers and key Unicorn staff within the production, dispatch and sales departments, to ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a reasonable cost to our business. With strong organizational skills and an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency, you will take ownership of the transport function, promoting excellence in customer service.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The import and export of goods and completion of associated processes and documentation, i.e., Incoterms, commercial invoices, EUR1 forms, Certificate of Origin.
  • Management of all transport administration related to inbound and outbound deliveries, to include signing off transport invoices.
  • Regular and timely communication with key Unicorn personnel regarding inbound and outbound goods as required, confirming details such as volumes of shipments and details of transport companies due to deliver / collect from site.
  • Analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
  • Planning, coordinating and evaluating logistics operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers as required.
  • Resolving problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports or customer issues.

 

LEVEL OF QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Essential:

At least 12 months previous experience in dealing with the import and export of goods and associated processes and documentation, i.e., Incoterms, commercial invoices, EUR1 forms, Certificate of Origin

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Strong degree of PC literacy and proficiency in the use of Excel and other MS Office applications

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of dealing with the shipment of Dangerous Goods
  • Degree in Logistics and/or Transport/Distribution Management

·       Previous experience in the use of SAP enterprise resource planning software
