Probably one of the favourite times of the day for any employee is lunch; getting to step away from work obligations, clear your head, stretch the legs or aimlessly scroll through social media. We’re no different at Unicorn Group, with the constant ringing of incoming calls and tapping of keys, come 1pm an afternoon pick-me up is welcomed! Don’t get me wrong it’s good to be busy, it makes for a much more interesting day especially when your part of the marketing team (though that may be a slightly biased statement).
On a Friday afternoon at Unicorn we become an office who lunch! A nice reward for a weeks hardwork, tiring daily commute and staying strong in those early morning gym sessions. While nothing too fancy just a simple order from our favourite sandwich shop ‘Yellow Door,’ it’s a great feeling knowing that lunch will be much more than the quickly assembled sandwich before you ran out the door in the morning or last night's reheated leftovers. And let’s be honest, food always seems to taste better when someone else makes it for you.
It may not seem like much, but our Friday lunches have become somewhat of a weekly ritual. Before work can really start on a Friday morning orders have to be placed and if you’re tasked with the sandwich collection, you soon find yourself the office favourite for the day! It’s a simple but effective Friday treat that we don’t intend on giving up anytime soon.
