Casual, variable hours basis of approximately 16 hours per week

Under 21: £10.85 per hour Over 21: £12.21 per hour

Fixed term period of 6 months

Over 18s must be available across all shift patterns, currently 07:00-15:00, 15:00-23:00 and 21:00-07:00 as required – Monday – Friday

In accordance with Northern Ireland employment legislation, young workers aged 16–17 will only be scheduled on day shift (07:00–15:00). Applicants under 16 cannot be considered for this role due to legal restrictions on factory work.

 

THE ROLE

We’re excited to welcome new Production Operators to our team! These casual roles are for a fixed term of 6 months and will help us cover holidays, absences, and busy periods. After 6 months, we’ll review our business needs to see if there’s an opportunity to continue.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble products, prepare boxes, pack and unpack items, and transfer products between locations.

• Work as part of the team on the Aerosol and bottle fill line.

• Operate automatic or semi-automatic machinery and complete tasks on a production line, including manual handling of loads up to 20kg.

• Produce high-quality products efficiently, meeting production targets and quality standards.

• Perform quality checks and complete all required paperwork (safety checks, downtime reports, efficiency sheets).

• Report faults, scrap, and quality issues promptly and follow work instructions and safety procedures.

• General housekeeping duties inside and outside of the factory.

 

LEVEL OF QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills with an ability to count, read, write and communicate effectively.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Legal entitlement to live and work in UK.

 

Desirable

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment desirable but not necessary as all training will be provided.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Reliable and flexible with a positive attitude.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work across different shift patterns as required.

• Physically fit to handle manual tasks and loads up to 20kg.

• 33 days annual leave, increasing to 35 days after completion of 2 years’ service (for full time equivalent roles, pro-rata’d for part time roles).
