At Unicorn Group we have always held a strong commitment to operating a socially and environmentally responsible business. This ethos has guided how we have run all our operations from the manufacturing and production process, the materials in our products to the lighting in our offices and it will continue to do so for many years to come.
Recent years has saw investment focused on improving our manufacturing process across all our brands. As a result, the installation of new equipment in our factory has enabled us to minimize the environmental impact of our production activities. No act is deemed too big or small where environmental sustainability is concerned. Our larger measures involve the installation of solar PV panels which operate alongside smaller changes such as the use of energy saving light bulbs.
Unicorn group has experienced great changes of late and we are sure there will be many more in our future. As our company and operations evolve so does our sustainability practices. Our most recent venture, the development and move to our new Riverbank site has required new thinking to ensure our sustainability practices not only continue but grow. No longer spread across two locations, finding a way to power our new factory and office operations with renewable resources was a main priority. In search for the best sustainability options, we are now happy to have 100% of our electricity generated from renewable resources with SSE Airtricity.
We believe that the small changes we introduce to our businesses can make a big difference. We continue to look for the best ways to reduce our environmental footprint and improve the future sustainability of our environment.
