Unicorn Group is pleased to announce its embarking on the next phase of its journey for the future – Carbon Neutrality.
What does Climate Neutral Certified mean to you? How are you feeling about climate change?
Carbon neutrality means that our business is committed to reducing its carbon emissions and whatever we cannot reduce we will offset against various sustainable initiatives. This commitment will help to mitigate climate change and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The process of working towards ‘carbon neutrality’ will be a multi-faceted approach for our business, from taking initial action on this important initiative, to calculating our baseline carbon footprint and the achievable reductions we can commit to.
Carbon Footprint Assessment:
The initial stage is to understand our business’s carbon footprint, and calculate the amount of greenhouse gases (primarily carbon dioxide) emitted through our operations, then identify areas where we can reduce or offset emissions.
Emission Reduction Strategies:
As a business we are continually implementing measures to reduce carbon emissions to improve energy efficiency, through sustainable manufacturing, production practices and waste reduction.
Carbon Offsetting:
We are continuously seeking and investing in initiatives that absorb and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Sustainable Supply Chain:
We work with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to sustainability. We join forces to adopt eco-friendly practices, as the carbon footprint extends beyond our immediate operations.
Transparency:
Our aim is to communicate our carbon neutrality efforts to stakeholders, customers, and the public. Transparency about our environmental initiatives fosters trust and encourages others to follow suit.
Continuous Improvement:
Carbon neutrality is an ongoing commitment for Unicorn Group. We will work hard on our strategies and performance to identify new opportunities for improvement.
